Officials Ask Residents To Notify Them If They See Youngsville Floating Away

YOUNGSVILLE, LA – With hurricane season having officially started on June 1, local officials are once again reminding residents to notify them immediately if they happen to see Youngsville floating away at any given moment.

With Hurricane Ida making a bee-line for the Louisiana coast as a potential Category 4, the state is once again on high-alert, with Youngsville in particular a worry due to it’s ability to flood if you leave a bath running for too long.

Authorities in the area would usually keep a watchful eye to ensure that Youngsville remains safely anchored down during flood warnings, however due to their stretched resources with pretty much everything going to crap at the moment, they are asking the public to help out.

“Honestly we’re very busy at the moment and don’t have the manpower to keep an eye on it”, explained area official Will Patrick, “We’ve tied Youngsville down as best we can but we’re gonna need the public to keep an eye on it.

As most people know it’s very susceptible to floating out into the Gulf of Mexico during flood events and, although we’re confident that it should stay in place, we’ll need people to report to us if they see it moving on South.

If Youngsville ends up out in the Gulf again, then we’ll just send the tug boats out and haul her back in. It’s a bit of a pain, but it is what it is.”

Is this a joke, it must be satire. We live in Youngsville and am confused about the “floating away”, “keeping an eye on it”, what? We do hold water but it’ll be ok. Trust me, everyone is watching everywhere, southern people are most like a First Class Neighborhood watch group.

Relax, baw.

It’s just satire. So don’t come at us with that lawyering-up bullshit. This is ‘merica. We got that First Amendment, ‘kay? Good.
