YOUNGSVILLE, LA – With Hurricane Barry fast approaching and area flooding expected, the Cajun Navy’s naval destroyer CNS Thibodeaux has been drafted into the area and is “ready and waiting to see action”.

The $1.8b ship was purchased just after the August floods of 2016 thanks to the generous donations of local folk and has recently been stationed just off of Holly Beach for usage as a party ship.

Although some are calling the move a little overkill, the Cajun Navy said that they’d rather be safe than sorry and expect the Arleigh Burke-Class Destroyer to see plenty of action.

“Look, we said this last time we wheeled this thing out”, said Cajun Navy member Robert Kraft, “Sure, we can use it to take hundreds of people on board in their time of need, but there is the capability to blow some things up if needs be.

And that time might come. There might be a fallen tree on a road that is too heavy to pick up. We can solve that by firing off a RIM-161 standard missile and dropping it right on top of it. Boom. No more tree.

But yeah, we’ll be trying to save people. We’ve already rescued 300 people from Youngsville this morning after somebody left a hosepipe on outside.”

The ship is expected to drop anchor on the I-10 in Baton Rouge later tonight when the floodwaters hit the expected 130ft mark.

Relax, baw.

It’s just satire. So don’t come at us with that lawyering-up bullshit. This is ‘merica. We got that First Amendment, ‘kay? Good.
