PHOENIX, AZ – With Christmas Day fast approaching, the festive gift-buying period is well underway. And to combat the ever-increasing demand for fishing shirts in Louisiana, Magellan has had to hire an extra 80,000 people to keep up with demand.
A favorite within the borders of Louisiana, the Magellan fishing shirt is a staple clothing for men to wear for any occasion. From funerals, to weddings, holidays, in bed, and of course romantic meals at Olive Garden.
The extra 80,000 staff members have already been hired and are all working overtime to meet production numbers and shipping deadlines.
Magellan spokesperson Steven Weir explained the situation.
“The bottom line is that we had nowhere near enough people to be able to produce enough of our fishing shirts to satisfy the Louisiana demand”, he said, “We’ve brought 80,000 new hires in to help with that.
To be honest, 80,000 is a conservative number. With a population of 4.6 million people in Louisiana we expect to sell around 5 million shirts – all gifts for paws and pawpaws.
It’s all hands on deck for us right now, but we are confident that we’ll do what we need to do and make Christmas Day in Louisiana special for everyone.”
