LAFAYETTE, LA – With the demolition of the world-famous Lesspay Motel at Lafayette’s Four Corners set to begin this week, authorities have began shipping in all the essential goods needed to undertake this operation.
This morning saw the arrival of the first of these goods, with 2500kg of authentic, industrial-strength sage and a further 5000 litres of Holy Water, shipped direct from the Vatican and blessed by as many priests that could get their hands on it.
Project managers confessed to The Daily Crawfish that they have their reservations as to whether or not this will be enough, but also confirmed that they are able to order and ship more in as needed.
There is controversy surrounding the demolition, however, with many historians likening the demolition of the hotel to when the Nazi’s opened the Ark of the Covenant in Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark. Nobody truly knows what demons will be unleashed when the demolitions begins, with most insurers declining to “cover any melting faces due to supernatural horrors” for the duration of the project.
A high-level Vatican priest is also expected to arrive later this week, tasked with cleansing the property even further. This portion of the job is expected to take up to a year.
