BATON ROUGE, LA – Sad news coming out of Baton Rouge this evening. A little less than a year since raising enough cash to purchase a naval destroyer, The Cajun Navy have been forced to put it up for sale to cover legal fees for disgraced founder Jon Bridgers.
Bridgers, who is credited as one of the founding members of the ‘Cajun Navy 2016’ which aided victims during the flood of 2016, was arrested after he allegedly took more than $50,000 from a flood victim and never finished work he agreed to do.
And now the destroyer – named the CNS Thibodeaux – is for sale on Craigslist for $125,000. Truly a great deal if you’ve been wanting to try using an advanced missile system to do some freshwater fishing.
Cajun Navy official Trent Radizzo confirmed that the destroyer is for sale.
“Yes we can confirm that the CMS Thibodeaux will be sold to cover legal fees”, he said, “We will be once again reverting back to rowing boats and, at a stretch, third-hand airboats with more holes in than a block of Swiss cheese.”
“It’s obviously not what we wanted, but hey. What can you do when your boss allegedly doesn’t deliver on his construction jobs. It is what it is.”
