NEW ORLEANS, LA – With last nights 17-16 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, it seems as though the the Saints’ playoff hopes may be over for another year. The Bucs overcame a 16-3 deficit to score two touchdowns in the final 3:03 and swept the season series against their NFC South rival, causing heartache, despair and a strange sense familiarity for Saints fans.

The season has been what can only described as disastrous as driving down a New Orleans street. You might think everything’s smooth, but don’t worry – there’s two or three giant potholes coming right up to wreck your suspension and put you in a bad mood for the whole week. The Saints currently lie in a 4-9 state.

However Head Coach Dennis Allen has vowed to regroup and end the season on a high, to at least give the fans something to cheer, give the brown paper bags a rest for a few weeks, and assure the rest of the league that this season is “just a rebuild, we promise”.

He did admit, however, that based on currently form the team will likely struggle against next week’s opposition Bye.

“We’re going to do everything we can to make sure that we give the fans something to celebrate in our remaining games”, he said, “However we have to be open and honest in assessing our chances of winning the next game, and that’s against Bye who will most likely take us all the way. We’re not optimistic, but we’ll try.

We’ve got a great team here, if you include the 27 players who are currently injured and probably will be for the remainder of the season, and they’ll be doing everything they can to make sure that we get a win over Bye.

It’s not likely, but anything can happen in football.”

Relax, baw.

It’s just satire. So don’t come at us with that lawyering-up bullshit. This is ‘merica. We got that First Amendment, ‘kay? Good.
