LAFAYETTE, LA – In a renewed and upgraded effort to keep the state of the facilities in tip-top condition and a place for the creme de la creme of Lafayette to enjoy, Moncus Park has today announced that proof of income will be required upon entry, with those making less $60,000 a year being directed away and told to try a recreational area more suited to them.
Residents were up in arms recently over the prospect of a parking fee to enter the park being put into place, and officials have noted that uproar by agreeing that the strategy to alienate a large portion of residents just wasn’t strong enough.
Officials explained that those making $60,000 and over will be welcomed with open arms into the park, and those very special individuals making over $150,000 per year will be given full usage of the CashPass scheme, with comes with a number of benefits such as:
- Faster access into the park, bypassing the metal detectors and AI security guards
- Full usage of the gold-plated bathrooms
- Staff members on hand to pick your dog’s poop up for you
- Private, F250 sized parking spot
- Complimentary private Amphitheater show provided by resident band The Chee-Weez
- A position on the library board
Entry requirements are expected to be finalized in the coming days with the scheme expected to go into effect in the coming weeks.
