ALTANTA, GA – With the Nickelodeon broadcasting of the Bears and Saints game today, the Atlanta Falcons have immediately secured a lucrative 5-year deal to broadcast all of their games live on Comedy Central.
With the Saints opting to have their game broadcast live on the kids channel, the Falcons were reportedly feeling a little left out. The live broadcast included numerous slime-related graphics such as touchdown slime cannons, redzone slimes and a Young Sheldon explaining penalties in terms that even Iberia Parish residents could understand.
According to reports the Comedy Central streams will also include quirky little extras, such as laugh tracks whenever Matt Ryan throws an interception, laugh tracks whenever Matt Ryan gets sacked, and an extra loud laugh track when the Falcons inevitably lose the game.
It is believed that the rights to Yakety Sax are also trying to be acquired which will be played during any Falcons offensive play.
“Were extremely excited about this collaboration” explained Falcons member of communications Bradley Heidel, “We feel that working together with Comedy Central will reflect the type of football that both our fans and fans of other teams have come to expect from us.
We saw how well the Nickelodeon experiment worked with the Saints and we felt that this was a prime time to make this deal.
We truly feel that laugh tracks and other fun factors will complete the true Atlanta Falcons experience.”
Games are expected to be broadcast live on the channel from the beginning of next season.
