GENEVA, SWITZERLAND – It’s not often that the U.S. and Russia see eye-to-eye on many matters. But President Biden and President Putin raised eyebrows today as they held a joint announcement to confirm that Shreveport sucks.
Biden is currently in Geneva attending the G7 summit, and was expected to hold talks with the Russian president this morning. The White House confirmed that those talks did take place for 4 hours, and while they failed to come together on many issues, they did find the smallest area of common ground.
“Mr. Putin and I had a very fruitful conversation for the best part of the morning”, commented President Biden, “And it’s fair to say that we’re on different pages for most things. But we did agree that – and we come together today to say this before you all – Shreveport really, really sucks.
I personally hope that I never have to go there during my presidency. And President Putin has expressed the same sentiment to me today.”
President Putin also had his say on the matter.
“Shreveport, how you say it in America, is suck”, he said, “I would not trade a single Russian city for it. You keep it. We both agree on this, and Russia will stand by America’s side on this.
If Russia should ever invade America, we would not take it. You can keep it, please.”
