NEW ORLEANS, LA – With most of New Orleans still without power after being ravaged by Hurricane Ida, area provider Entergy today confirmed that they are working closely with the hamster that runs on a wheel to gauge when it’ll be restored.
Many residents have been looking to Entergy for answers: when the power will return? When should I return home? And of course, why the hell do we pay so much for a power system that is on par with rural Nepal?
This has prompted them to become increasingly transparent with their current situation, and a spokesman for the company today confirmed their ongoing discussions.
“We understand that most of, if not all of New Orleans wants to know when their power will be restored”, said Entergy spokesperson Michael Ruiz, “A lot of people are under the assumption that power is out due to the tower that fell. That’s only partially true. The main reason is that the hamster that runs on a wheel that provides New Orleans with 95% of its power was also affected by the storm.
We’ve been in close discussions with him for the past 48 hours to try and determine when he’ll be good and ready to get back on the wheel and start providing power again. We understand that he’s been hit hard like the rest of us, and needs a little time to recuperate.
As soon as he decides when that time is, we will let y’all know. When he gets to running again then power will be on within 3 hours.”
Entergy also advised residents to keep checking social media for updates.
