ERATH, LA – Wow, who could have seen this coming? In what is sure to infuriate members of the royal family who expected all eyes to be on them today, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding was completely upstaged, outclassed and overshadowed today by Cousin Caleb and his new wife Kayla’s badass hunting-themed cake.
The couple, who tied the knot in Erath this morning, made the royal couple look like mere commoners with the unveiling of the four-tiered cake, complete with duck and hunter silhouettes made out of hard icing and even some crazy realistic looking grass.
Grandparents from all corners of the family gathered around the work of art to snap photos of it from a number of different angles, proclaiming that “it really is a beautiful cake” and expressing their appreciation at the obvious years of dedication that had gone into creating the masterpiece.
Many guests exclaimed that they “didn’t want to cut into it, it’s so beautiful”, before taking a knife to it and cutting it up as if they hadn’t eaten in weeks.
A royal family spokesperson confirmed that Harry and Meghan were “highly disappointed” to have the spotlight taken from them.
“This was supposed to be Harry and Meghan’s day”, they said, “So to have the limelight shifted from their lavish, pompous ceremony to this admittedly outrageously wonderful hunting themed cake is obviously disappointing for them – yet at the same time, they find it all understandable.”
“They have accepted the issue and are trying their best to move on after this ordeal.”
Caleb and Kayla were unavailable for comment, having already departed for their honeymoon in Gulf Shores.
