LAFAYETTE, LA – A new home town hero is born! Moments after pulling into Cajun Field at the end of Lafayette’s Mardi Gras parade this evening, Cleveland Browns were in contact with float rider Chris McFall about potentially joining them as their new quarterback after an impressive display throwing foam footballs.
McFall, who was already six Bud Light’s deep before the parade even began rolling from Pontiac Point, was designated with the task of throwing the 300 brightly colored foam footballs to parade goers lining the streets. And with an accuracy rating of 37%, the Browns’ interest piqued.
Browns GM John Dorsey confirmed that contact had been made with McFall, however no decision had yet been made.
“Yes we did call him”, said Dorsey, “Even half cut and on a 15ft moving float he was far far better than anything we’ve seen in this team for the past decade. Some of those throws were incredible. He gave black eyes to numerous children with those bullet throws. It was incredible.”
“We think he’d be a great fit for this franchise. However he told us that he doesn’t want to commit to anything until he’s both sobered up and finished up the Tuesday parade. We understand, of course.”
